1. Moses, a picture of Christ
   1. Moses was a divinely chosen deliverer
      • Exodus 3:1,2 -- "Moses... and the angel of the Lord appeared unto him"
      • Exodus 3:9,10 -- "Come now, therefore, and I will send thee"
   2. Rejected by "his own," Moses goes to Midian
      • Exodus 2:11-15 -- "Who made thee a prince and a judge over us?"
   3. During Moses' rejection by "his own," he gains a Gentile bride
      • Exodus 2:16-21 -- "And he gave Moses Zipporah"
   4. Afterward Moses again appears as Israel's deliverer and is accepted

2. Christ the Redeemer
   1. Christ is our Deliverer

   3. Intercessor

   4. Leader
      • Deuteronomy 33:4,5 -- "Moses commanded"
      • Isaiah 55:4 -- "I have given Him for a... leader"
      • Hebrews 2:10 -- "Captain of their salvation"

      Moses and Christ were both "faithful," but Moses was a faithful servant, while Christ was a faithful Son (see Hebrews 3:5,6).
