1. We are called to serve the Lord
   • John 2:5 - "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it"

2. The servant's place and work are sovereignly appointed

3. Every believer has a definite spiritual gift for service

4. All believers are to be witnesses
   • Acts 1:8 - "Ye shall be witnesses." A witness must testify to facts within his own knowledge (see also John 9:11).

   • 2Timothy 1:12 - "I know whom I have believed"
5. The conditions of fruitful service
   1. Serve in the power of the Spirit
      • Acts 1:8 - "Power... the Holy Ghost is come upon you"
      • Ephesians 4:30 - "Grieve not the Holy Spirit"
      • Ephesians 4:31 - "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger... be put away from you"
      • 1Thessalonians 5:19 - "Quench not the Spirit"
   2. Serve while abiding (continuing in obedience)
      • John 15:10 - "Abide in My love"
      • John 15:5 - "He that abideth in Me... bringeth forth much fruit"
      • John 15:7 - "If ye abide in Me... ask what ye will... done unto you"
6. The place of service
   • Acts 1:8 - "Unto the uttermost part of the earth"
   • Luke 24:47 - "Among all nations"
   • Matthew 13:38 - "The field is the world"
   • Mark 16:15 - "Every creature"
